From Wohler Bridge:     Most Popular

Self-guided exploration of the Russian River.  Park your car in a secured lot just across the iconic Wohler Bridge and meet in the redwood picnic grove.  Take a short walk to the water where your equipment and boards are waiting.  A seasonal dam near the bridge makes it possible to paddle and explore up river for several miles and back again.  Many opt to pack a lunch and picnic on a secluded beach.  Dry bags available for a small fee.

Johnson's Beach in Guerneville:    For parties of four or more

Self-guided exploration of the Russian River.  Arriving in Guerneville, just 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, look for the BEACH sign on your left which will take you to the Johnson's Beach parking lot.  We recommend you drop off passengers and supplies and then exit the lot and park on a nearby street.  Two seasonal dams make it possible to paddle and explore either up or down river and back again.  Many opt to pack a lunch and picnic on a secluded beach.  Don't feel like packing food?  Up river you can beach your board at the Farm Hand Deli and order a sandwich, or walk next door to the Stump Town Brewery for a cold one.

Healdsburg Veteran's Memorial Beach:    Back after four years!

The Dam is coming back, which means there will be plenty of river to explore from this convenient location only a mile from downtown Healdsburg.  Paddlers will be outfitted with all their equipment at the water's edge, after which they are free to explore up river for as long as they want - perhaps searching for an isolated beach to have a picnic (plenty of room on the board for a cooler).  After returning to HVMB, paddlers are welcome to hang out at this county regional park. Restroom and shower available.
